Aylan Azerbaijani Dance Group, directed by Master Tohid Hajibabaei, is a pioneer in ritual
Azerbaijani dance teaching and performance, and one of the most successful dance groups in Iran.
Since its establishment in 2007, the group artists have been performing in many national and
international festivals and received several awards, including:

– 7 First rank prize from folklore dance festivals in France, Russia, Bulgaria, Czech Republic,
Austria and Italy
– Second prize from Spain’s folk dance festival
– Third rank prize from Folklore Dance Olympiad of Georgia
– Three times “The Best Group Selected by The Jury” of Tehran International Folklore and Traditional Festival.

The high tempo Azerbaijani dance is a combination of sport and art and it is one of the main goals of
Aylan group to promote this centuries-old tradition. Aylan classes provide a fun, friendly and positive
atmosphere for students of all ages. The professional male and female instructors encourage every student to grow, improve their skills and enjoy their time in the class. Currently, Aylan classes for ladies, gentlemen and children are held in Tehran. The group performs in Tehran, other Iranian cities
